MPAGS OfficersMPAGS is run by a group of officers who are elected each year. We are dedicated to helping student voices be heard. If you have any concerns, questions or comments, do not hesitate to contact us. To be eligible to run for an elected position: a) you must be a member of MPAGS and b) you must be a current graduate student in good academic standing and have at least one year remaining before graduation (at least two years if running for the President-elect position). Brief descriptions of the MPAGS officer positions are listed below with the current officers and their backgrounds. Chair - Shania BayleyMPAGS Chair serves as chief officer of MPAGS and is a voting member of the MPA Board of Directors and the Executive Graduate Council. The Chair coordinates the efforts of the board members, as well as MPAGS members to determine the general direction of MPAGS activities. Shania is entering her second year of Loyola University Maryland’s doctoral program in Clinical Psychology. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and has gained most of her clinical experience from her time interning at Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C. Her clinical interests include child and adolescent psychology, integrative trauma therapy, and cross-cultural therapy. Shania enjoys traveling to countries with beautiful landscapes, hiking with her Labrador Retriever, trying new restaurants, and making new friends! She is incredibly excited to lead MPAGS this year and make a meaningful contribution to the experiences of our fellow graduate students.
Jasmine Raysor, Chair-ElectJasmine is entering her second year of Loyola University Maryland's Clinical Psychology doctoral program. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona. Jasmine has extensive experience working with marginalized populations in a clinical capacity and has spent the last several years working in various roles at non-profit organizations providing services for individuals with serious mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders. Jasmine's clinical interests include minority mental health, serious mental illness, and forensic populations. As the chair-elect of MPAGS, she plans to increase the organization's involvement in community service initiatives within Baltimore and the larger Maryland community.
Audrey Davis, Advocacy ChairAudrey is entering her first year of Loyola University Maryland’s doctoral program in Clinical Psychology. She has a bachelor’s degree in public and international affairs and was inspired to pursue a career in psychology after volunteering as a tutor in a youth correctional facility for four years. Her clinical interests include trauma and trauma-related disorders, substance use disorders, and the criminal justice system. In her free time, Audrey enjoys running, baking cookies and sourdough bread, and exploring Baltimore! She is so excited to join MPAGS and combine her love for psychology, public policy, and advocacy.
Julie Grammatico, Educational Affairs ChairJulie is in her second year of the clinical psychology doctoral program at Loyola University Maryland. Although she grew up in Connecticut, she spent her undergraduate years also at Loyola, and now considers Baltimore her home. Julie currently works at Sheppard Pratt in the Neuropsychiatric Child and Adolescent Unit. Outside of her clinical interests, Julie loves live music, hiking, and trying new foods. A fun fact about Julie is that she spent her junior year of college abroad in Cape Town, South Africa and came face to face with a lion during safari! Julie is excited to fulfill this role in MPAGS and connect with fellow graduate students in psychology.
Heather Principino, Educational Affairs Co-ChairHeather is entering her second year of Loyola University Maryland’s doctoral program in Clinical Psychology. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Data Science from St. John Fisher College. She gained most of her clinical experience working as a Board Certified Autism Technician at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders in Fairport, NY. Heather also has experience working with individuals at the Rochester Psychiatric Center in Rochester, NY. Her clinical interests include treating suicidal individuals, mental health stigma, and serious mental illness. Heather enjoys working out, reading, and travelling! She is excited to be involved in MPAGS and connect with other graduate students in a new setting!
Allie Curwin, Membership ChairAllie is entering her second year of Loyola University Maryland’s doctoral program in Clinical Psychology. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Policy from Vanderbilt University and has gained most of her clinical experience from her time working on the Early Growth & Development Study in Washington, D.C. Her clinical interests include child and adolescent psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, and treating anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder. Allie enjoys traveling, running, cooking, and spending time with friends - both old and new! She is excited to join MPAGS and help recruit fellow graduate students to a such a meaningful organization.
Hannah Wexler, Communications ChairHannah is in her second year of the Loyola University Maryland’s doctoral program in Clinician Psychology. She received her BA degree in Psychology from Emory University and proceeded to work with adults with serious mental illness in Brooklyn, New York. Her clinical interests are child and adolescent serious mental illness, specifically personality disorders. She is also interested in adolescent trauma and adolescent and adult forensics. Hannah enjoys spending time with her family and friends, taking long walks, and exploring cities! Hannah appreciates the opportunity to be a member of MPAGS and is greatly looking forward to becoming more involved with the organization and to making meaningful contributions in the following years!
