The current CPT billing codes for psychological testing will be discontinued December 31st. This workshop will review the new restructured CPT billing codes for psychological and neuropsychological testing which will be required beginning January 1, 2019. The new CPT codes were developed to specifically address problems in the current coding system because psychologists time and technician time were sometimes billed together in the same code. The new coding structure separates professional time from technician time and includes separate codes for the administration of the testing and for the cognitive work in testing such as scoring, interpretation, integration of the data, and report-writing. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) also proposed new reimbursement rates for testing and these new rates will be reviewed and discussed. Register HereContact: [email protected] |
