MPAGS Events

 MPAGS offers various programs, meetings, and events throughout the year to promote education and training, as well as opportunities for networking with fellow colleagues.

Events Held in the Past

  • MPAGS Annual Convention MPAGS Annual Convention is a great opportunity to talk with other graduate psychology students, present your research, learn about your peer’s research, and to hear from current psychologists in the area! 
  • Trip to the Hill- MPAGS members went with Dr. Ed Shearin, a member of the MPA Legislative Committee, to Capitol Hill. They advocated on the Medicare Mental Health Access Act to representatives and their aids.
  • Item Drive for the Homeless -Through donations, MPAGS collected and purchased items for bags for the homeless. Bags were distributed to the homeless population in Baltimore. MPAGS members spent time getting to know others in their community.
  • Advocacy Panel - Members of MPA’s Legislative Committee provided a panel to discuss advocacy issues relevant to graduate students and psychologists.
  • Social Events- Open Mic Nights, Winetasting, and Bowling night have been held in the past.
